Jewish Art: An Illustrated History New and Enlarged Edition 1971

The book in its first Israeli edition is a collection of Jewish art from antiquity until modernity, with ilustrated essays. Photos of art are very good, some in color, some in black and white. The first essay in the book is "Palestinian Art before the Israelite Conquest (perrot)" and also includes discussions of synagogue architecture in the classical period, Jewish art under Muslim rule, Renaissance Jewish art, Jewish art in the printed book, Jewish art both before and after emancipation, impressionists, Parisian school, sculpture, art in Israel, modern synagogue architecture, and much more.
