Not concerned with the main part of the manuscripts found in the Cairo Geniza, mostly from the 10th to 13th centuries , but rather with the documentary material, which constitutes a primary source of information for Jewish history in the High Middle Ages, as well as the social history of the Mediterranean basin in general.
