Reflections from the life of Elisheva Shechter z"l I remember the happiness I experienced when Elisheva was born, the joy of having been entrusted with a precious gift from Hashem. As a young girl, as a teenager and as a young woman, Elisheva had a unique capacity for introducing the spiritual into every action that she performed. She was always learning and absorbing, always searching for ways to improve. When she married, she built a home that was dedicated totally to Torah and to the service of Hashem. I sent her a small gift when she celebrated her first anniversary, and on the accompanying card, I included a number of quotes from Pirkei Avos as a means of conveying, at least partially, my personal pride in the way of life that she had chosen.
