Gila, mother of eight young children, lives in the hauntingly beautiful but isolated West Bank community of Tal Midbar. Though living conditions are a far cry from American standards, she and her husband hardly notice. Inspiration and Torah idealism lift them above the mundane. Her cousin Tzippy lives in Bnei Brak.
