Amukah The Hidden Valley

The mysterious forest of Amukah - a hidden valley of mystical dreams. Amukah which means "deep valley" is actually that, a deep valley nestled in a desolate hidden expanse of the Galilean forest situated between the holy city of Tzefas and the ancient historical city of Hatzor. Amukah is the holy eternal resting place of the Tanna, Rav Yonason ben Uziel. It is said of the holy Tanna that he himself assured Heaven's speedy salvation to anyone taking the courage and effort to embark upon the difficult journey to his hidden tzion. A young man searching for his bride to be, was promised his mate speedily from Heaven, if he would but utter a heart-rending prayer at Rav Yonason's kever. Little did I know that I would visit Amukah the very same summer that my wife-to-be would.
