It is also postmarked in Hebrew "Medinat Yisrael Misrad HaBitachon HaKiryah Tel Aviv", which means: Land Of Israel Department Of Defense Tel Aviv Branch.The envelope is postmarked Tel Aviv, June 1976. Moshe Dayan was the Chief Of Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces as well as a revered General and was considered a war hero. He lost his left eye in 1941 when he was hit by a sniper bullet.
